We acknowledge that the George Peabody Library was built on the unceded territory of the Piscataway and Susquehannock People. In this cathedral of books are countless histories of white colonists’ inexorable seizure of this land and abuse of its people and resources. Our obligation as artists and community members is to tell this truth, and in doing so, to pay respect to the elders of this land past and present.
